Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal kftgt is a system for forwarding Kerberos v4 tickets that only works in conjunction with the AFS kaserver KDC. It was developed at Stanford University and I believe we were the only site to use it widely. We've disabled our Kerberos v4 environment and are phasing it out.
I'm also upstream and do not plan on making any more releases. I consider the package obsolete. Similarly, the OpenAFS project is strongly encouraging all sites running the AFS kaserver to upgrade to Kerberos v5 (and the kaserver isn't even packaged for Debian). The package doesn't have any bugs and works fine, but I don't think there's much justification for continuing to keep it in the archive and I can no longer test it. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
