The codename is the primary identification of the distribution. Both
internally and in the exported stuff (it's dists/<codename>/Release
and stuff). So having multiple distributions with the same codename
in the same repository does not make much sense, I fear.

Mirroring from multiple codenames is no problem at all (both from
multiple into one, or multiple into multiple, or or or).
The only thing that the local distribution and the distribution to
mirror from have to have in common are some architectures (and even
that can be omitted with filtering to only use arch all packages,
which can be mirrored from one binary architecture to another).

If you give some more details what you want to achieve, I might
give more information. But in its own multiple distributions with
the same name do not make much sense in my eyes, so I am considering
closing this bug.
