This is a pretty serious breakage, but unfortunately this will be difficult to reproduce from the package list alone. > # tail upgrade-to-sarge.typescript > Setting up netkit-inetd (0.10-10) ... > Restarting internet superserver: inetd. > > Setting up libwrap0 (7.6.dbs-8) ... > > Setting up tcpd (7.6.dbs-8) ... > > Setting up netkit-ping (0.10-10) ... > Setting up netbase (4.21) ... > Installing new version > > > (The file has no trailing newline) > Looks like netbase did something to my network connection? Here what is the expected message: Setting up netbase (4.21) ... Installing new version of config file /etc/protocols ... Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/networking ... Installing new version of config file /etc/services ... Installing new version of config file /etc/rpc ... However netbase postinst script does not do anything that could break the network, and I don't expect a network breakage to cause the typescript to be truncated.
