Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal python-scipy-core was a subset of python-scipy, but it has been obsoleted by newer python-scipy versions, and should be removed from testing and unstable, as noticed on bugs #488451 and #478458.
I was the maintainer of python-scipy and python-scipy-core at some point, handed the task to others since, but nobody bothered to removed this old package.
