I think this is a 'nv' bug - if I use the 'nvidia' driver it goes away (but I get a unrelated bug).

'nv' is the open source nvidia driver - 'nvidia' is the driver supplied by
nvidia.

If I change my x11 settings from nv to nvida the problem goes away.

Not sure what package owns this bug - nv kernel driver - xserver-xfree8 etc - the bug is alive and needs to be brought to someones attention.

I want to run a graphics card with modest gl performance but open sourced drivers - any clues?
