Hi, I have the very same problem here on a Thinkpad T60 with a Radeon Mobility X1400 using the radeonhd driver.
Calendar is really slow. When looking at the cpu, it seems the Xorg process takes 70 % of the CPU ... When shrinking the Evolution window to a size like half of the screen, everything goes quicker. The calendar is usable ...
