Package: samba
Version: 3.0.14a-3
Severity: normal

Hi

A host which I administrate over is writing to log files
/var/log/samba/log.smdb and /var/log/samba/log.nmdb, despite the
following configuration parameters being set;

        syslog only = yes
        syslog = 1

The expected behavior is that samba not write any log files directly
when "syslog only = yes" is set.

In this particular case, I log to syslog (syslog-ng),
and then write the files somewhere else as appropriate.
I do not wish for these files to be written, as I must
now worry about rotating or deleting them.
