If I comment use-session-dbus out, it works.

A better workaround, mentioned in #292388, is probably to use

DisplayManager*authName:        MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1

Thanks for the info. I don't want to have to modify my /etc files to
fix d-bus.

I fail to see why dbus should be at fault here.
