Hi, it looks like thge legacy (at leats nvidia-kernel-legacy96xx) are still suffering from this problem, at least on my machine. Same kernel (2.6.25-2-686), tried the 'ugly fix' but did'nt worked for me. Thanks for looking in to this one :)
