tag 369064 + wontfix thanks thanks for bringing this discussion to the binutils ML [1]. According to upstream this should be done in the compiler, not with linker scripts in ld (which gold doesn't support). ld shouldn't be used directly for linking. If packages use ld directly these should care about adding the correct search path to ld.
