Fine, so it seems that creating and installing the documentation is just two more lines in debian/rules and a few others in debian/control, right?

Is that really an error or just a warning? In any case, I think this is
something that should be fixed upstream. Let's update the file and sent
it upstream as a patch.

I believe it was a warning, since doxygen continued without further complaints. However, I believe that in this case telling upstream to run 'doxygen -u' is even easier than sending them patches. ;)
