Package: amanda-server Version: 1:2.5.2p1-3 Severity: important Hi.
A similar problem was reported in Ubuntu : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amanda/+bug/229920 The chg-multi.sh.in script is patched by the Debian package in order to fix syntax errors, if I trust the changelog : +amanda (1:2.5.2p1-1) unstable; urgency=low + + * new upstream version, closes: #434607, #434606 + * pull fresher chg-multi.sh.in from upstream to fix syntax error + * drop reference to non-existent 'taper' package in control, closes: #444330 + * a number of tweaks to address issues found by lintian + * incorporate Galician translation, closes: #414113 + + -- Bdale Garbee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun, 07 Oct 2007 18:39:45 -0600 However, this introduces a call to some amdevcheck_status function which is not shipped with the sources, and was probably added later. This leads to chg-multi reporting errors on trying to rewind tapes sytematically, thus rendering chg-multi probably broken in the package since 1:2.5.2p1-1. I'll try to provide a patch as soon as I'm able to test it. Hope this helps, Best regards. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages amanda-server depends on: ii amanda-common 1:2.5.2p1-3 Advanced Maryland Automatic Networ ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.6+20080308-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libreadline5 5.2-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii mailutils [mailx] 1:1.1+dfsg1-3.1 GNU mailutils utilities for handli amanda-server recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
