Yes, it is. Terry Chan, the author of the sidebar patch, apparently applied my first patch I've sent to #470657 - which had the bug with <null> entries under some circumstances (read #470657 for details). The improved second patch fixes this issue, but apparently didn't made it into the sidebar patch of Terry Chan, so it is not included in Debian's mutt 1.5.18-1 (I've just checked it). Hence this bug... :-( But Terry Chan updated the sidebar patch yesterday (current deep link: http://lunar-linux.org/~tchan/mutt/patch-1.5.18.sidebar.20080611.txt).
