Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.11.2-1ubuntu1 Severity: important *** Please type your report below this line *** Hi all, The aptitude package has two options. One is either using the aptitude GUI or the aptitude CLI. In the aptitude GUI one can see and resolve, purge obsolete packages. I read the man page of aptitude but didn't find any option to show which are obsolete packages on the CLI. So there are two possibilities .
1. There is no such switch or flag which shows this information. 2. There is a switch or flag or combo but this is not documented. In both the cases the aptitude user is poorer by the result. Use-cases Feel free to add/comment on the bug. -- Package-specific info: aptitude 0.4.11.2 compiled at May 27 2008 10:05:28 Compiler: g++ 4.3.1 20080525 (prerelease) Compiled against: apt version 4.6.0 NCurses version 5.6 libsigc++ version: 2.0.17 Ept support enabled.
