package update-manager

thanks

Hi,

I attach a postinst that removes the files listed in the bugreport during configure/reconfigure (indeed, whenever postinst is called).

it also removes the directories in which they reside, but not higher level directories: I wonder whether we should attempt pruning these two, in case python2.4 has been removed:
/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages
/usr/lib/python2.4

Should I upload this to SVN? I guess I (thibaut-guest) would need to be added to the pkg-gnome project for that.

As a DM, I cannot upload the fixed package myself. I can however prepare the source package completely, just tell me whether to put myself in Uploaders and whether to set DM-Upload-Allowed (I do volunteer to check other less important bugs). Else I would add "NMU" to the changelog and use an NMU version number. Also, I'm guessing this is an urgency=high case?

Anyway, I'm off till Monday. Don't hesitate to finish the work in the meantime ;-)

Regards, Thibaut.
