This bugged package is Stealing my time.

I've just google'd over and over regarding 'wrong root certificate'
messages, to no avail. No manpage, procedure/howto, doc to find to walk
through this.

Since i've allready come across 'no smart-card-reader' related messages.
By, i believe, installing openct and setting the 'options' to the
specific smart-card reader i hoped to be able to tackle this one but
give up, for now. ?Since i do have pcscd installed and hope this does
not conflict with openct.

The beidgui beid-tools do not provide the functionality foreseen as
there are reports of services not installed (see below) and pkcs-related
messages.
- - -
beid-pkcs11-tool -t
C_SeedRandom() and C_GenerateRandom():
error: PKCS11 function C_OpenSession failed: rv = CKR_TOKEN_NOT_PRESENT
(0xe0)

Aborting.

All i've tried returned no change from 'wrong root certificate'.

Not after adding the user to the scard group.

Not after installing openct, which does seem to be usefull to say the
least. At least in order to see 'clean' operation of beidgui (yes the
cardreader is now visible in the dropdown) since the /var/run/openct
messages are finally gone.

Not after linking beid-cert-belgiumrca.der to belgiumrca /
belgiumrca.der

Am i missing a lib... here ? Or permissions ? I'd be happy to provide
any or all answers to this matter.

Not after manually starting beidcrld and beidpcsd

Whenever i run these beid-commandline tools i get
---
The service
eID CRL Service
beidcrld

is not installed and running
---
The service
eID CRL Service
beidpcscd

is not installed and running
---
while they are ?

In the meantime of my prior (see below) inquiry the cardreader increased
to 2.6 which is a long way so to speak. Still, i'm back where i was in
the exact same scenario in 2006, what am i missing still ?

Thank you for your time and i'm kindly awaiting your feedback.

Regards,

Joris
