partusb creates a partition table, calling install-mbr and sfdisk with the right parameters. It also runs mkfs to make sure that the partitions are labeled, and triggers the kernel to make the new labels available in /dev/disk/by-label. instusb can call partusb. It can install Debian, Ubuntu or FreeDOS (in parallel) on the USB stick, using default settings. This is a "real" install, i.e. there is no embedded iso image as for other "linux-on-an-usb-stick" howtos. Boot loader is grub. It can also provide a chroot session, e.g. to install/remove packages using aptitude or synaptic. There is no dosemu support for a vfat partition (yet?). partusb has been reworked last weekend to support up to 4 partitions (no extended partitions). instusb has to be adjusted accordingly. And the man pages need to be updated. Regards Harri -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
