Package: pidgin Version: 2.4.2-2 Severity: important Hello,
since ca 2008-05-22 my pidgin does not work with my jabber.org account anymore. It looks like the client connects but no buddies/contacts are displayed. The other accounts (1x ICQ and 2x IRC) are working like before and expected. First I thought it has something to do with a server migration: http://blog.xmpp.org/?p=40 When I use PSI as a client the account works like expected. The password is OK. From time to time I get a "timeout message" in pidgin from the jabber.org account but the other accounts are OK and network doesn't went down or has problems. Sniffing the communication I get 503 errors "503 service unavailable". As said I don't have the problem with other clients. I downgraded pidgin to 2.4.1 and 2.4.0 and have the same problem. Do you have an idea what this problem could be? How to track it down? Thanks alot.
