I emailed Eduardo Chappa a week or so asking him to read through the MIT
license. His primary complaint about the licensing options he had was
that he didn't understand them, he said, so I suggested he read that one
(seeing as it's simple) and get back to me. He said he would.
As I understand it, his Maildir patch has had years of maintenance and
improvements that the old Debian PINE one has not. So if possible I want
to wait to see what he thinks.
But if push comes to shove, and release time gets too near, I can ship the
(as I understand things) worse, incompatible-with-Eduardo's-patch Maildir
patch we've shipped in PINE for ages.
