thanks for you patch. Actually, I don't see it as being high priority.
SQUID_ARGS can be easily overridden in /etc/default/squid, without the
need to remove it from the rc script and mark /etc/default/squid file
as a config file. I happen to do just that on many installation.
If you think that this may be difficult to understand for the casual
administrator, we could add a note in /etc/default/squid hinting for
the override.
