Could you try the latest upstream git repo in case it has been fixed since 2.3.1 got released? There's a howto at http://bgoglin.livejournal.com/10936.html Also, you could try the 2.3.0 driver which was in experimental a couple weeks ago. You may download it from: http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2008/04/24/debian/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-intel/ If 2.3.0 works fine, it should be very easy to git bisect and locate the breaking commit.
