The iwl3945 wifi driver does only have a limited support of the Monitor mode: only beacon are captured, no data. In order to have the monitor mode work properly, a patch must be applied. I have opened a bug in the kernel bug tracker: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10593 A patch has been proposed: http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=120995431512335&w=2 I have been able to apply this patch to the Debian kernel source and the resulting kernel allowed a fully founctionnal Monitor mode.
