Can you tell me why this file is missing? Perhaps the output of this command would help (use sudo or run as root for proper permissions): ls -lR /var/cache/apt-p2p/apt-packages Also, if you could send the /var/cache/apt-p2p/apt-packages/mirrors/emacs.orebokech.com:80/packages.db file it would probably help too. It doesn't contain anything but a listing of what should be in the the apt-packages directory (i.e. nothing sensitive).
