Package: pidgin
Version: 2.4.1-1+b2
Severity: normal

When connecting to my Yahoo account, pidgin warns me that a certain
buddy name (chris_trueheart) is invalid. (Interestingly, I don't
remember adding that buddy to my buddy list.) However, the copy of my
buddy list in ~/.purple doesn't have it listed. I assume that this is
simply the server passing me a buddy when pidgin downloads the buddy
list.

I think that the server knows better than pidgin what comprises a valid
buddy name, so pidgin should not warn when it gets an "invalid" name
from the server. Even if it does warn, it should not warn every time I
connect to the server, because there is nothing I can do to fix it.
