Hmm, First, I don't have macbookpro and don't check on it. I am not confirming whether which Macbook needs firmware. I know Core Duo Macbook, Core2Duo Macbook, and Macbook Air need Firmware, and I checked these. MacbookPro might be unnecessary in firmware. I confirm, and report to here again.
