Package: merkaartor Version: 0.0.10-1 Followup-For: Bug #478173
Hello, I know this bug is marked as confirmed, but I thought it would be worthwhile adding my experiences, which have a slightly wider range of symptoms that those described in the original bug report. For a start, most of the time when starting merkaartor, it dies quickly just as described by Torsten in his report. For completeness, I've attached a backtrace of one such crash to this update as "trace" - it looks fairly similar to Torsten's to me. The other possibility is that merkaartor starts, allows maps to be downloaded, but then just as I was about to finish adding a property to a node (a car park in this case), then merkaartor crashes. This has only happened twice, with each other time Merkaartor crashing on startup instead. When this new behaviour had happened, I was not doing anything different to the times when it crashed on startup. Unfortunately, I wasn't running it in a debugger either, and didn't have core dumps enabled, so don't have a backtrace. In case it's useful, though, I have attached the output for one of these cases to this update as "output". If there's any further information I can give or anything else you'd like me to try out, let me know and I'll add the results to this report.
