Package: libatlas-headers Version: 3.6.0-21.5 Severity: normal Hello,
Atlas no longer provides its native cblas.h since version 3.2.1ln-1 (#134488) because libblas-dev has also cblas.h. Such a decision is correct in most cases since atlas usually works as a highly optimized BLAS/LAPACK library. But the cblas.h in atlas is not fully equivalent to that in ordinary BLAS. To be specific, there are a group of functions catlas_xxx defined in atlas, which are not in BLAS. As a result, when atlas is explicitly required (for example, the boost bindings library needs these functions when it tried to bind atlas) some errors would occure. So, is it possible to still provide atlas's cblas.h in libatlas-headers package? This header file could be put in a different place, say /usr/include/atlas, so that no colliction would happen.
