Package: bind9-host
Version: 1:9.4.2-10
Severity: wishlist

Hi,
It would be nice if one could use 'host' to resolve a hostname on a
.local
network created by mdns to an IP address.

#$ host nimby.local
#Host nimby.local not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

"ping" does this somehow:

#$ ping nimby.local
#PING nimby.local (192.168.1.10) 56(84) bytes of data.
#64 bytes from nimby.local (192.168.1.10): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=104 ms

Thanks!
        C.
