Hi,

a Debian user (namely Francis Bond) found a bug in the WordNet database
which you might reproduce by

    wn inhibit -hypev

the whole story can be read in the bug report log at

    http://bugs.debian.org/478803

Francis actually found a patch for the precompiled wordnet database which
he published at

    http://wordnet.princeton.edu/~ben/WN3.loop.patch

and which works - but for the Debian packaging we need a patch for the
grind database source. I don't know whether Francis is part of the
WordNet team (guessing from the URL where he placed the patch he might
be connected) but I just wanted to let you know the issue in case it
is not knon yet. Francis also promised to try to deliver a working
patch for the grind database and I'll keep you informed if he found
something. If you know any quick solution for the problem we would be
definitely happy as well. I just wanted to mention the issue because
I was writing you anyway for the following two issues.

I successfully tried to build WordNet Debian packages against Tcl/Tk 8.5
without any problem - just replace all "8\.4" occurences in the autobuild
stuff by "8\.5" and "autoreconf". If you are interested I could provide
you with build stuff for your next WordNet release. Please note that
I include the grind source and building the database via grind inside
the automake stuff which I would strongly suggest you to do as well.
Just tell me, if you are interested and I would be happy to help out
with this stuff.

Moreover our policy checking tool claimed that the man pages delivered
with WordNet have no properly formated NAME sections. I will be able
to provide a patch for this soon. Just tell me if I should foreward
this to you to enhance the quality of your documentation.

Kind regards

        Andreas.
