For what it's worth... I have several Macbook Pros. On the original Core 2 Duo model (2.14 Ghz, ATI graphics, ICH 7 chipset), the 2.6.25 kernel runs fine. The exact same kernel give me the kernel panic reported here on the newest Macbook Pro (4,1 Penryn, ICH 8) model -- 2.6 Ghz with Nvidia Graphics.

Just before the panic, I see an error about the "sd" module needing to be updated. I see the same message on some of my servers with 2.6.25 (don't see it with 2.6.22) but the error doesn't stop the servers from booting so I don't know if it's related to the Macbook Pro issue.
