Package: wine Severity: wishlist Wine's HTML renderer is a custom-compiled version of Gecko. It can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=6241 as wine_gecko-0.1.0.cab, there are also sources there. When any application needs HTML rendering, Wine will automatically download it from there (if possible) and unpack it into the user's .wine directory, but it would be nice if it was already provided as a Debian package, to save the download.
Hence, a wine-gecko package that provides the wine_gecko-0.1.0.cab file, which should be placed into /usr/share/wine/gecko (Wine looks for it there; if found, it grabs it instead of trying to download). Note that, even though the source code is free, the contents of the .cab file cannot be built on Linux (it must be built with MSVC), which means this package would probably have to go into contrib, not main. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
