Package: sylpheed
Version: 2.5.0~beta1-1
Followup-For: Bug #355192

Unfortunately, I've just found out that the bug is not fixed.
We're back to the initial issue.

Let me explain.

Now there's a nice dialog window with "temporarily accept" and
"always accept" buttons and that's great.
If I click on "always accept", the permanently accepted certificate
is stored in ~/.sylpheed-2.0/trust.crt and no complain is shown
in successive Sylpheed sessions, and that's great too.

However, when the certificate expires, the user is not notified
in any way.
So we're back to the initial bug, namely, Sylpheed fails to alert the
user when a POP3s server SSL certificate is expired...

I hope some further improvement may be done soon.
