-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 tags: wontfix
The new version downgrades -r or -p with -O to a warning, but keeps -N as an error. The reason is that it has never worked (that is, -N has never properly timestamped the target of -O, since -O always alters the timestamp (by clobbering the file) before Wget does anything else), and having such wget invocations fail is a useful way to inform people that it is not and has never been meaningful to use -O and -N together. In a future version of Wget, it is hoped that we can replace -O with a much more useful (--rename-to?) facility than one that provides mere redirection. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIGgg/7M8hyUobTrERArXWAJ95XZqgGz8GXC7vL/gEuW1gLxRJfQCeIdOV yj9aStY8f7k/Ji13Iu7H7V0= =B3yi -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
