Package: collectd Version: 4.3.2-1 Severity: normal After 2 months of operation, plugin tcpconns produced 2.3 GB of rrd files, filling completly my /var partition (and in effect crashing other programs).
Such detailed logging of connections in my opinion is unnacassary, and clearly waste of disk space & cpu cycles. tcpconns creates lots of rrd files which are used only once (because connections in many cases are from/to random ports, for example in bittorent), but they have 250K each. This can quickly create more than 10k files, which will not have any usefull information in it, but will use lots of space.
