Package: amanda-client Version: 1:2.5.1p1-2.1 Severity: important
I'm having a problem with amrecover that is best described by example: First, I'm in amrecover and have navigated in to the disk "/snapshots/mail": amrecover> pwd /snapshots/mail/ronny/Maildir/".System.PHP errors" Then a listing: amrecover> ls 2008-04-30-00-05-02 ildirfolder 2008-04-30-00-05-02 vecot.index.log.2 2008-04-30-00-05-02 vecot.index.log 2008-04-30-00-05-02 vecot.index.cache 2008-04-30-00-05-02 vecot.index 2008-04-30-00-05-02 vecot-uidlist 2008-04-30-00-05-02 vecot-keywords 2008-04-30-00-05-02 r/ Note that the file/folder names have been trimmed. Now I can 'cd' in to a folder using the right folder name but an 'add' to do a restore does not work: amrecover> cd cur /snapshots/mail/ronny/Maildir/".System.PHP errors"/cur amrecover> cd .. /snapshots/mail/ronny/Maildir/".System.PHP errors" amrecover> add cur File cur doesn't exist in directory amrecover> add r File r doesn't exist in directory I only see this behaviour where I have a space in the path I'm currently in. This obviously makes partial restores quite painful. This was not a problem on sarge, I only saw on once I'd had to do a restore on a computer that had been upgraded to etch. Backup server is etch. I can't test our one sarge computer I'm afraid as I get an error on trying to set the disk: "501- ERROR: Split dumps not supported with old version of amrecover." Let me know if there's any other information I can provide. Thanks.
