Hi, I have (finally) looked into this bug, and I think I have found it. The code dealing with focusing, entry selection and entry editor opening/closing is difficult, however, and I'm not quite sure yet whether the code I've now disabled (which was responsible for the selection jumping) was still useful in other situations. Unless it turns out to cause trouble this fix will be in the second beta version of 2.4.
