If I understand you correctly, you want to take over newlib-m68hc1x with
a different package. In this case you should just do that. Source
packages that have no binary packages associated to them, in this case
the newlib-m68hc1x source package is automatically removed. You need to
be sure to use an increasing version number, though.
If the above description of the situation is correct, you might as well
close this bug, as the removal step involved will be automatic.
