/etc/updatedb.conf is still missing for the package slocate.
This package is broken in my opinion. you can't use man updatedb.conf and there is no example available. i can't even believe that this bug has been around for several months. the way it is now slocate is unusable right after installing. if updatedb is shared among other packages make it depend on that package.
or consider adding a file /etc/updatedb.conf to the package with the following content:
