Package: sbuild Version: 0.57.0-1 Severity: wishlist sbuild builds package foo at /build/$USERNAME/foo-1.0. For various reasons, I would like to use a bind mount for /build across several chroots, including chroots of different architectures. This might cause clashes if the same package is built on two different architectures at the same time. This problem could be prevented if the architecture became part of the path, e.g. /build/$USERNAME/$arch/foo-1.0.
I realise I could achieve all this with two separate bind mounts and configuration changes, but it seems that the problem may be common or increasingly common with architectures like amd64 allowing the build of other architectures, and cross-building infrastructure, like dpkg-cross. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1+scoflowctrl.1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages sbuild depends on: ii adduser 3.107 add and remove users and groups ii apt 0.7.11 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii dctrl-tools 2.12 Command-line tools to process Debi ii dpkg-dev 1.14.18 package building tools for Debian ii perl 5.8.8-12 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii perl-modules 5.8.8-12 Core Perl modules ii postfix [mail-transport-agen 2.5.2~rc2-1 High-performance mail transport ag ii schroot 1.1.6-1 Execute commands in a chroot envir Versions of packages sbuild recommends: ii debootstrap 1.0.8 Bootstrap a basic Debian system ii fakeroot 1.9.4 Gives a fake root environment -- no debconf information -- .''`. martin f. krafft <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : :' : proud Debian developer, author, administrator, and user `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck - http://debiansystem.info `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems
