This didn't make it to the bug last time so trying again now the bug is 
unarchived...

I'm still seeing this problem with etch-volatile so re-opening the bug:

$ ps Hu -C clamd

That's a shed-load of RAM. Other than restarting clamd periodically, is there 
no end in sight for this? The upstream ticket is resolved/invalid...:
