Well, maybe I am not explaining it correctly.

I run aptitude update, once a day.

I then run aptitude safe-upgrade if there are updates.

Aptitude then installs any updates. 

The panic messages have stopped, since updates earlier this week.

I should not have said Etch, I misspoke, I apologize.

I have no unofficial packages.
