Here is what upstream says: --- The window maximize is a desired feature. I like it that way. I know that is pretty despotic. --- ATM, I do not plan to change this behavior. However, I consider your concerns valid. I will keep the bug open, but downgrade its severity to 'wishlist'. Of course you are welcome to submit a patch.
