Package: gthumb
Version: 3:2.10.5-2
Severity: normal

When viewing Nikon raw (NEF) files, gthumb correctly auto-rotates both
the image preview and full-screen views, I imagine based on the EXIF
"Orientation" tag.

But the thumbnail is *not* auto-rotated; I believe it should be.

I see that gthumb does auto-rotate the thumbnail for JPG images.

It's also infuriating that gthumb doesn't display the EXIF data for
raw files even though it would seem that it can read it, to find the
Orientation tag? But I know there's already a bug on that (with no
update?)

best regards,
calum.
