http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4568 and closed as invalid due to the fact that qt 4.4 is / was not released yet. I requested that the bug be reopened now that the RC is in sid. But my hunch is that the bug is upstream in LyX and little can be done about it until upstream decides to consider this bug.
