Betreff: Re: Bug#476468: libsane doesn't recognize Epson DX5000
(all-in-one) Scanner

Hi Julien,

that's the solution.

First I installed the package libsane 1.0.19-4 (amd64) again.

Then I disabled the epson2 backend in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf.

Now scanning is possible with xsane and libsane 1.0.19-4.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ scanimage -L
device `epson:libusb:004:004' is a Epson CX5000 flatbed scanner
device `epkowa:libusb:004:004' is a Epson Stylus CX4900/CX5000/DX5000
flatbed scanner

What's the better device to use, epson or epkowa?

Thanks a lot,
Oliver
