I can confirm this bug. I use LVM except for a boot partition (/dev/sda1) and linux-boot-prober outputs the following, in part:

/dev/mapper/kodama-root:/dev/hda1:Debian^GNU/Linux,^linux^2.6.25-rc8-amd64:/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.25-rc8-amd64:/boot/initrd.img-2.6.25-rc8-amd64:root=/dev/mapper/lakeview-root^ro

First of all, I don't know where "kodama" came from, because my LVM VG
is lakeview. Also, /dev/hda1 doesn't exist, because /dev/hda is
/dev/dvd. This bug prevents the installation of new kernel images, as
well as causing the postinst to fail.
