Hi, This certainly is a very weird bug, unfortunately I can't reproduce it. Can you provide a dump of your gnome-terminal configuration by running "gconftool-2 -a /apps/gnome-terminal/global" and "gconftool-2 -a /apps/gnome-terminal/profiles/Default" (if you are using anything other than the default profile, you need to change the last command).
