Hi, I do recommend the pkg-perl group _NOT_ to pick this one up. I tried to use this for an application I was working on a long time ago - It was (upstream-wise) quite buggy, not up to date with the current gstreamer version... A QA nightmare. As Julien said, it _does_ require a fairly good knowledge of Perl - And I'm sure it requires quite a good knowledge of XS and C to get the bindings right, and a good knowledge of a complex framework as GStreamer. Currently, no packages depend on libgstreamer-perl. I see Marc finally updated it to 0.10 (which means part of my outdatedness apreciation might no longer apply - but then again, only one upload in 18 months having FTBFS bugs _does_ speak about the package being undermaintained. It has a very low popcon count, and it is only part of sid - It hass never been in a stable release. So, I'd rather ask - Is it worth keeping this package?
