The annoying aspect is that this cannot be turned off and that іn the GNOME desktop, gnome-volume-manager is the canonical place to configure what happens on such events. Now, the default action is to launch sound-juicer, which means that when you insert an audio CD, both sound-juicer and Banshee are started, and there is no way to make Banshee behave short of uninstalling it.
