Package: g15daemon Version: 1.9.5.3-1 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
If I run "g15daemon -d" the G-keys aren't reported at all by xev and I get the error message: "Unable to open UINPUT device. Please ensure the uinput driver is loaded into the kernel and that you have permission to open the device." Loading the uinput kernel module fixes this. No idea why I have to load the module manually, but as a quick hack I put "modprobe uinput" in the init script. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 Debian Release: lenny/sid 900 testing the.earth.li 900 testing security.debian.org 900 testing ftp3.de.debian-unofficial.org 800 unstable the.earth.li --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ======================================-+-============== libc6 (>= 2.7-1) | 2.7-6 libfreetype6 (>= 2.3.5) | 2.3.5-1+b1 libg15-1 | 1.2.6-1 libg15daemon-client1 (= 1.9.5.3-1) | 1.9.5.3-1 libg15render1 | 1.2.0.svn250-2 libusb-0.1-4 (>= 2:0.1.12) | 2:0.1.12-9 zlib1g | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-11 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
